Dear Friends of Stella International School!
Summer is here! We can look back with gratitude on an exciting and beautiful school year. Just the last few weeks have brought some very special events: We have received the public recognition – in the Secondary School for the current school year, in the elementary school already for 3 years – a big step forward! The Parents’ Association organized a wonderful spring festival in the schoolyard. Everyone came: Kindergarten, elementary school, secondary school, parents, grandparents, teachers, educators, friends … There were performances by the children, Punch and Judy, handicrafts, tours of the school and kindergarten rooms, competitions and games for the whole family, the performance of our parents’ choir, food and drink and a pleasant informal get-together. A successful celebration!
In the elementary school we had various highlights – e.g. a visit to the beekeeper, the reading day, a joint ice cream, a day in the motor park, the sports festival with stations in the Rudolf Bednar Park and the preparation of a small social project together with “Mary’s Meals”: Our children have packed school backpacks for children in Africa so that the children there can go to school in the fall.
In the secondary high school, the English Week Days with interactive knowledge transfer took place for the first time.
Im Gymnasium gab es erstmals die English Week Days mit interaktiver Wissensvermittlung.
The class also organized the Leadership Day, where the children independently presented the concept of the school, showed the school rooms to the guests – mainly families of the newly enrolled children for the upcoming school year – and conveyed life at Stella Secondary School through skits, songs, and presentations.
As a crowning finale, a three-day tent camp took place in the Waldviertel. An unforgettable experience!
And a special joint celebration on the last day of school was the closing church service in St. Peter’s Church, where we all gathered – children, teachers, and parents – and expressed our thanks for this wonderful year with many songs from the bottom of our hearts!
There is also good news from our new location in Seebenstein (Lower Austria): The construction of the elementary school has been approved by the school authorities and we will start in the fall with a multi-grade class (1st-4th grade), just as we started in Vienna a few years ago. Likewise, a kindergarten group will begin. At the end of June, a big welcome party for all families of the registered children took place – a wonderful party in a beautiful setting, everyone is full of anticipation about the start in September!
Now I wish you and your families a wonderful, relaxing summer and look forward to seeing you again in the fall!
Yours sincerely
